If you’re suffering from head congestion , difficulty breathing , coughing, fever, sneezing, watery eyes, and aches and pains, then chances are, you caught a cold. The common cold is hard to cure mainly because it’s an airborne virus. Your symptoms could change daily and you could be sick all winter long. There isn't a vaccine to prevent a cold, however if you follow these steps, you may avoid catching the common cold.
Step1 Six weeks before the cold season you will need to pay special attention to your body. This is when your healthy diet must be adhered to. Along with your diet, you will need to increase your citrus intake to 16 ounces of Orange Juice, and drink 6 glasses of water per day. If you enjoy sipping tea, then brew some Green Tea with pomegranate. Now is the time to build up your antioxidants so you can fight off the cold virus.
Step2 Take a multi Vitamin that includes a B complex. The B complex is great for healing your body and building up your immunity. You will may also want to add Garlic to your diet, fresh is best, but you can also take an odorless supplement. Take 2-3 capsules’ a day. The garlic is a natural antibiotic and will help you to boost your immune system.
Step3 Make a note to exercise daily. Best to exercise in the morning, as it will give you energy for your work day. Then exercise in the evening when you get home from work as it will help you to relax. Avoid Stress at all costs, as stress will weaken your immune system. When your immune system is weakened it's easier for you to catch a cold.
Step4 You need to get plenty of rest. Refrain from pushing yourself to get the job done, and don’t take your work home with you. Go to bed at the same time every night and be sure that you get eight hours of sleep each and every night.
Step5 Hygiene; germs are everywhere it seems, so you need to make sure you wash your hands after everything. Also avoid touching your eyes, and examining your nose.
